These terms and conditions apply to the use of the Harrod Sport website, including www.harrodsport.com and any related Harrod Sport online services operated by Harrod UK Ltd. By continuing to browse and use this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our Privacy Policy govern Harrod Sport’s relationship with you in relation to this website.
If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our website.
Before you place an order, if you have any questions relating to these terms and conditions, please contact our Customer Service team on 01502 583515, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, or email sales@harrod.uk.com. Calls to 01502 numbers are usually charged at a local rate from both UK landlines and mobile phones and are usually included within network providers’ inclusive minutes packages. Calls may be recorded for quality monitoring and training purposes.

Orders
When you place an order with us, it will be deemed that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
By placing an order through our website, you are making an offer to Harrod Sport, a division of Harrod UK Ltd, to purchase the goods outlined in your order upon the terms described in your order.
When you place an order, we require your name, email address, payment details, telephone number and delivery address in order to process the order and provide confirmation of your order. We require a contact number so that we can contact you if there are any issues with your order. We may provide our couriers or delivery partners with your contact telephone number where this is necessary to arrange or complete delivery. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
Please be aware that we may not be able to change, amend or cancel your order once it has been processed, picked, manufactured, customised or despatched.
All prices shown on our website are in GBP. Prices include VAT where applicable.
After placing an order online, we will provide you with confirmation that your order has been received. This does not mean that your offer to buy the goods has been accepted. Our contract for the sale of products will only exist once your order has been accepted, charged, processed and despatched to you, or, in the case of made-to-order, bespoke or installation-related products, once we have confirmed acceptance of the order.
Please note that we may be unable to meet our obligations, or may need to cancel or amend your order, for one or more of the following reasons:
- The product ordered is out of stock or unavailable for a prolonged period.
- We are unable to authorise your payment.
- There is a product description, specification or pricing error.
- You do not meet any order criteria outlined in these Terms & Conditions.
- A product is made to order, bespoke, customised or subject to availability of materials.
- Delivery companies or installation teams are temporarily unable to deliver or complete the order due to exceptional conditions beyond our reasonable control, including accidents, severe weather, road closures, strikes, supplier disruption or other logistical issues.
- There are access, safety, location or site restrictions that prevent delivery or installation.
If there is an issue with your order, one of our Customer Service team will contact you either by telephone or email.
Once an order has been despatched from our warehouse, we cannot cancel it, stop it, delay the delivery or change the delivery address.
Please check all items when you receive them. Faulty, incorrect or damaged items must be reported within 14 days of receipt.
Secure Payment
You can be confident of your security when shopping on our website. Our website is secure and is PCI DSS compliant, being the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard for organisations that handle cardholder information. The standard was created to increase controls around cardholder data to help reduce credit card fraud. For more details on PCI compliance, please visit www.pcisecuritystandards.org.
On the website, we accept payment by the payment methods displayed at checkout. These may include Mastercard, Visa and Maestro. For payment methods that are not available online, or for account, trade, school, club, local authority or pro-forma enquiries, please contact Customer Services on 01502 583515 or sales@harrod.uk.com.
We no longer accept cheque payments unless expressly agreed by us in writing.
For credit and debit card payments, payment may be taken when the order is placed, when the order is processed or when the products are despatched, depending on the type of product and payment method used.
Delivery
Delivery charges, delivery services and delivery times may vary depending on the size, weight, value, availability and delivery location of the products ordered.
Current delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed during the checkout process or quoted by our Customer Service team. Exceptionally large items, bespoke products, made-to-order products, direct despatch products and installation only related products may be subject to additional delivery charges.
With stock permitting, we aim to despatch standard stock items within the timescale shown on the relevant product page or during checkout. Some products will have longer delivery times, particularly where goods are manufactured to order, customised, delivered directly from a supplier, require specialist transport, or require installation. Any longer delivery times will be highlighted on the relevant product page or confirmed by our Customer Service team.
Only Monday to Friday are classed as working days. During bank holidays, seasonal peaks, school holiday periods, adverse weather or other busy periods, please allow longer for delivery.
For deliveries, we use different couriers and delivery partners depending on the size, weight, value and number of parcels, and whether the order requires specialist handling. The most suitable courier or delivery method will be selected depending on the order.
Please note that delivery charges may be subject to change depending on the delivery location and the size, weight and nature of the goods. If additional delivery charges are required, our Customer Service team will contact you before delivery.
Postage and packing charges shown online are for UK mainland delivery only unless otherwise stated. Deliveries to remote areas, offshore locations, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles, Northern Ireland or other non-standard delivery locations may incur additional charges and may not be available for all products. Please contact us before ordering if you require delivery to one of these locations.
We are unable to accept online orders from outside of the UK except where expressly stated. Trade, export or international enquiries should be directed to our Customer Service team so that availability, shipping, insurance, customs requirements and carriage costs can be confirmed.
Our standard policy is that higher-value orders, large items and certain sports equipment deliveries may require a delivery signature. Where we agree to leave goods without a signature, this is at your own discretion and risk. We cannot accept responsibility for goods once they have been left in accordance with your instructions, although we will replace damaged products in accordance with our normal terms and conditions where applicable.
If you request that goods are left in a safe place, please provide clear instructions when placing your order. We reserve the right not to leave goods where our courier or delivery partner considers the location unsuitable or unsafe.
All items which are in stock and suitable to be sent together will normally be despatched together. Any out-of-stock goods may be marked as ‘to follow’ and will be sent as soon as they are available, unless otherwise agreed.
Large, Heavy and Specialist Deliveries
Some Harrod Sport products, including but not limited to goals, posts, nets, shelters, storage units, ground equipment, gymnasium equipment and pitch or court equipment, may be delivered on larger vehicles or by specialist carriers.
It is your responsibility to ensure that suitable access is available for delivery vehicles and that there is a safe location for unloading. Please notify us before delivery if there are any access restrictions, including narrow roads, low bridges, restricted parking, uneven ground, stairs, security gates, time restrictions or other site limitations.
Where delivery cannot be completed due to inaccurate information, restricted access, unsuitable unloading arrangements or the absence of an authorised recipient, we reserve the right to charge for failed delivery, redelivery, storage, waiting time or return carriage.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, delivery does not include installation, assembly, positioning, groundworks, removal of packaging, disposal of old equipment or movement of goods to a specific location within a building or site.
Installation and Site Services
Where Harrod Sport provides or arranges installation, assembly, inspection or other site services, the scope of work will be confirmed in writing before the work is carried out.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the site is safe, accessible and suitable for the work to be completed. This includes, where relevant, ensuring that the ground conditions, foundations, fixings, storage areas, services, permits, permissions and access arrangements are suitable.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for identifying and making safe any underground services, cables, pipes, drainage, irrigation systems or other hazards before installation work begins.
We reserve the right to postpone, refuse or stop installation work where we consider that the site is unsafe, unsuitable, inaccessible or otherwise not ready. Additional charges may apply for aborted visits, return visits, waiting time or additional work required due to site conditions.
General Guarantee
We want you to be delighted with your order. If for any reason you are unhappy with your items, you may return them in perfect condition, unused and in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt for a replacement or refund, subject to the exclusions and conditions set out in these Terms & Conditions.
Returns postage will only be refunded if the item is damaged, faulty or if the wrong item has been sent. We do not accept responsibility for damaged or lost parcels on return, so we recommend that you obtain a postal receipt or send goods back via a tracked or recorded delivery service.
This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights.
Product Guarantees
Many Harrod Sport products carry specific product, structural or framework guarantees. Where a product-specific guarantee applies, the details will be shown on the relevant product page, product literature or documentation supplied with the product.
A structural guarantee refers to the product remaining intact, supporting itself and not physically failing during the stated guarantee period when used, installed, stored and maintained correctly and in accordance with any instructions supplied.
A framework guarantee refers to the framework of a product remaining intact and supporting itself for the stated guarantee period, provided it is used, installed, stored and maintained correctly.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, product guarantees exclude:
- Damage caused by incorrect assembly, poor installation, unsuitable fixings or failure to follow instructions.
- Damage caused by unsuitable ground conditions, poor foundations, incorrect anchoring or insecure positioning.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, vandalism, impact, improper storage, unauthorised modification, abnormal use or use outside the product’s intended purpose.
- Damage caused by extreme or exceptional weather, including high winds, storms, flooding, snow, ice or lightning, unless specifically stated otherwise in product literature.
- Damage caused by normal wear and tear, cosmetic deterioration, fading, corrosion that does not amount to structural failure, or deterioration of consumable or replaceable parts.
- Failure of nets, ties, clips, fixings, padding, covers, wheels, ground sockets, anchors or other ancillary items unless expressly included in the relevant product guarantee.
- Damage resulting from failure to inspect, maintain, store or secure equipment correctly.
Sports equipment can pose a risk of injury if not installed, anchored, inspected, maintained and used correctly. Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended use and that all relevant safety guidance, governing body guidance, product instructions and inspection requirements are followed.
Safety, Use and Maintenance
All Harrod Sport products must be used only for their intended purpose and in accordance with the product instructions, safety guidance and any applicable rules or guidance issued by relevant sports governing bodies or facility operators.
Goals, posts, nets, shelters and other sports equipment must be correctly assembled, anchored, secured and maintained. Freestanding equipment must be secured using suitable anchors or weights where required. Equipment should be inspected before use and at regular intervals for signs of damage, wear, instability or deterioration.
Products must not be used if they are damaged, unstable, incorrectly assembled, missing parts or otherwise unsafe. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that equipment is inspected, risk assessed and maintained by competent persons, particularly in schools, clubs, leisure facilities and public spaces.
Where products are used by children, young people or members of the public, appropriate supervision must be provided by the customer, facility operator, school, club or responsible adult.
Returns / Replacements
Please contact our Returns Department on 01502 583515 within 14 days of receiving your goods. Our team will advise whether the item needs to be collected by a carrier company or returned by you. This will depend on the size, weight, nature and condition of the item. If the item was received damaged, is faulty, or the wrong item has been sent, you may be advised that the item does not need to be returned.
If a collection needs to be arranged, this will usually be made on a weekday during standard working hours. If you are unable to be present when the collection is made, you may leave the goods somewhere safe, provided this has been agreed with us.
Whether you are returning goods by post or a collection has been arranged, please complete the relevant returns documentation or follow the returns instructions provided by our Customer Service team.
We will inspect returned items and will issue a replacement or refund where applicable, usually using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. If there are any issues, we will contact you.
Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging and in a resaleable condition unless they are being returned because they are faulty, damaged or incorrect.
If a returned product has been used, assembled, damaged, modified, marked, installed or is missing parts or packaging, we reserve the right to refuse the return or make a reasonable deduction from any refund to reflect the reduction in value.
We try to process returns as soon as possible once they have reached our warehouse. This may take longer during busy periods.
Non-Returnable Items Exempt from Cancellation
Unless faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, the following items are non-returnable and exempt from cancellation:
- Bespoke, made-to-order or made-to-measure products.
- Customised, personalised or branded products.
- Products manufactured or adapted to your specification.
- Cut-to-size netting, rope, matting, padding or similar materials.
- Installed products once installation has begun or been completed.
- Products that cannot be returned for hygiene, safety or regulatory reasons once opened or used.
- Any other product clearly identified as non-returnable on the relevant product page or quotation.
Product Pricing & Descriptions
Every product bought is sold subject to its product description, which may outline further specific conditions relating to that product, including approximate delivery dates, specifications, guarantees, installation requirements, safety requirements and exclusions.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Harrod Sport products are supplied for self-assembly and installation by the customer. Where installation is available, this will be stated separately and may be subject to additional charges and site requirements.
We take care to ensure that all details, prices, dimensions, specifications and descriptions of our products are accurate. We endeavour to keep the website as up to date and accurate as possible, but there may be rare occasions when information on the website, including product descriptions, specifications, availability or pricing, may not reflect the exact position at the time an order is placed.
We do not give any warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of information on the website and cannot be responsible for errors, omissions or results arising from the use of such information, except where required by law.
We aim to keep the colour representation of products accurate on the website, but we cannot accept responsibility for variations in colour caused by browser software, screen settings, lighting conditions or the device used to view the products.
Some products may be handmade, manufactured using natural materials, powder coated, galvanised, welded, fabricated or finished in ways that may result in minor variations in finish, colour, dimensions or appearance. Such variations do not affect the functionality of the product and do not constitute a defect.
All Harrod Sport manufactured product sizes are nominal unless expressly stated otherwise. If exact sizing is required for any product, please contact us before ordering.
On rare occasions, products may be incorrectly priced on our website. In these circumstances, we will not be obliged to supply the goods at the incorrect price, in accordance with the incorrect description, or at all.
We reserve the right to correct pricing, product, specification or description errors. If this affects your order, we will contact you and may offer you the option to cancel the order or proceed at the correct price or specification.
We reserve the right to amend prices, product ranges, specifications, availability and delivery charges at any time.
Promotions
From time to time, we may offer promotional discounts, special offers, voucher codes, free gifts, competitions or other promotional activity. Unless otherwise stated, only one promotional code or offer can be used per order.
Promotional offers may be subject to minimum spend requirements, stock availability, time limits, customer type, product exclusions or other conditions. If a free gift is offered and stock runs out, an alternative may be offered at our discretion.
Discounts are not applicable to any made-to-measure, bespoke, customised, personalised, branded, installation-related or quoted products unless expressly stated otherwise.
In the case of promotions on product pricing, exclusions may apply to:
- Existing special offer prices or multi-buy savings.
- Bespoke, made-to-order or customised products.
- Installation, inspection or maintenance services.
- Delivery charges.
- Gift vouchers.
- Any product which states on the product page that it is exempt from promotions, discounts, free delivery or express delivery.
We reserve the right to withdraw, amend or cancel promotions at any time without prior notice.
Competitions & Giveaways
From time to time, we may run competitions and giveaways on the website or via our social media platforms.
These competitions and giveaways may be operated solely by Harrod Sport or in collaboration with carefully selected third parties. The conditions of each competition or giveaway may vary depending on the nature of the promotion.
Unless otherwise stated:
- The conditions of entry will be stated on the relevant website page, social media post or promotional material.
- Participants must be UK residents and over the age of 18 to enter.
- Winner(s) will be selected from all qualifying entries in accordance with the stated competition terms.
- Depending on stock availability, we will aim to send prizes within 28 days of winner(s) being chosen.
- Winning entrant(s)’ names may be used for promotional purposes.
- Harrod Sport reserves the right to withdraw a competition or giveaway or amend any part of it, including the applicable terms and conditions, at any time without prior notice.
- Competitions and giveaways are not open to employees of Harrod UK Ltd or their immediate families.
Where you provide an email address as part of entering a competition or giveaway, you may be added to our mailing list and may receive newsletters and updates from Harrod Sport. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email.
Gift Vouchers
Where gift vouchers are offered by Harrod Sport, the following terms apply unless stated otherwise:
- Gift vouchers are available in the denominations shown on the website.
- Gift vouchers may be posted or issued electronically, depending on the voucher type available at the time of purchase.
- Gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of issue.
- To use your voucher online, please enter the voucher code in the Promotional Code, Voucher Code or Gift Voucher box on the basket or checkout page.
- Vouchers can only be used once as full or part payment and are redeemable in a single transaction.
- No change, credit or additional vouchers will be issued.
- Vouchers cannot be used to pay for delivery costs unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods.
- Lost, stolen or expired vouchers cannot be replaced.

Harrod Sport, a division of Harrod UK Ltd, invests heavily in the design and development of its products and brands, and in protecting its intellectual property.
Harrod UK Ltd will not tolerate infringement of unregistered design rights, patents, design registrations, trade marks, copyright or any other intellectual property rights in original Harrod Sport products.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Subject to the above, we shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings or any loss arising from delay, incorrect installation, misuse, failure to maintain equipment or use of products otherwise than in accordance with instructions.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for the intended location, use, age group, standard of play and level of supervision. Where products are used in schools, clubs, public facilities or commercial environments, the customer is responsible for complying with applicable safety obligations, inspection requirements, risk assessments and governing body guidance.
Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to, severe weather, accidents, strikes, supplier disruption, transport disruption, import or export restrictions, pandemics, fire, flood, civil disturbance, government action, war, terrorism, utility failure or failure of telecommunications networks.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
Our Environmental Pledge
Harrod Sport is committed to continually looking for ways to reduce environmental impact through responsible sourcing, efficient manufacturing, improved packaging and recycling initiatives.
Where possible, products are manufactured, packaged and despatched using materials and methods designed to reduce waste and improve sustainability. We continually review our processes, packaging and product development to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact.
We also support the WEEE Regulations where applicable to relevant electrical and electronic equipment.
