Regardless of the level you play at, all our goal posts are prototyped, developed and built to professional standards of quality and safety in East Anglia and external certificates are issued to ensure goals meet current FA standards.

All Harrod 5-a-side goal posts are independently certified and apply to the required safety standards (BS 8462).

To ensure best fit we would advise that the recommended nets for each model are purchased with the goal.

For natural grass

Freestanding Aluminium

The freestanding aluminium posts feature fully-welded corner joints and fixed, non-folding side frames to ensure added safety. Portable and secure, freestanding aluminium 5-a-side posts are suitable for use on natural and artificial surfaces.

Classic Goal

Designed for constant outdoor use, the crossbars, backbars and side frames of the classic goal range are built from 48mm steel. Harrod UK also supply permanent goals that are designed to be concreted directly into the ground with no need for sockets.

For artificial surfaces

Fence Folding

Ideal for multi-sport synthetic surfaces, Harrod's fence folding posts are designed to be easily folded flush to the fence by two people when not in used, creating space for other sports. These posts are made from reinforced aluminium with hinged steel supports to make folding simple.

Integral Weighted

Harrod UK's unique integral weighted goalposts were the first of their kind in the UK and continue to be a highly safe and popular post that doesn't require anchorage.

Posts with a weighted roller are ideal for artificial surfaces, but are not recommended for use on grass pitches.

Fold-Away

For easy storage, the steel FS1 Fold-Away goals use a button clip mechanism allowing the net supports to fold away. Side frames lock in the play and folded positions for added safety.

Large rubber pads protect and grip floors while the detachable steel bottom backbar and plastic pads to prevent floor damage.

Wheelaway

Harrod's Wheelaway goals feature an extra heavy duty construction designed specifically for use in sportshalls and feature large rubber pads to protect and grip floors. Flip-over wheels are easily operated to make moving the goals easy.

Goal Dimensions

5-a-side goal posts are available in the following sizes:

Senior: 4.88m x 1.22m
Junior: 3.66m x 1.22m
Mini: 2.44m x 1.22m

Pitch Dimensions

Minimum: 20m x 30m
Maximum: 25m x 35m

These pitch dimensions are suitable for all age groups from 6 years old. Size 4 footballs should also be used for teams aged between 6 and 12 years old.

Maintenance

If properly maintained, 5-a-side goals can last for many years, but general wear and tear could reduce the life of your posts.

To protect against this, regular maintenance is crucial. This includes following regulations on checking fixtures and fittings, as well as the use of maintenance equipment, such as general touch up paint when required.
