Women's Rugby World Cup 2025: England Hosts, Red Roses Rise - and Our Posts Stand Tall

The Women's Rugby World Cup kicks off on Friday 22 August - right here in England - and it's set to be the biggest edition yet: 16 teams travelling the country, record crowds expected, and a final under the lights in London on Saturday 27 September.

At Harrod Sport, we're proud that our rugby posts will be in place at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham for the final, at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens in Northampton, and at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland - three of the tournament's headline venues this year. (The opening night sees England face the USA in Sunderland, with a Pool A clash against Samoa in Northampton the following weekend.)

Why this tournament is so special

This year marks the 10th Women's Rugby World Cup, three decades on from the first in 1991. Since then, the event has grown from a niche celebration to a global showpiece - and 2025 is poised to smash attendance records.

The Red Roses: favourites on home soil

England arrive as strong favourites. Under head coach John Mitchell, the Red Roses have produced a relentless run of results since the narrow 34–31 defeat to New Zealand in the 2022 final - winning 57 of their last 58 matches - and they're coming off another dominant Six Nations. Expect set-piece precision, pace out wide and serious depth across the squad.
